  • Raw Material Planning:

  • Order all direct raw materials to meet anticipated demand

  • Manage inventories of Chep/GMA pallets

  • Order and manage inventories of Operating Supplies for factories

  • Create purchase orders in APO/GLOBE

  • Communicate orders to vendor including all pertinent information

  • Coordinate/communicate with members of planning team(s): Factory scheduling, target inventory levels, ordering raw materials, coordinating preform requirements, warehouse utilization projections, and line load opportunities

  • Follow up with vendor to ensure proper paperwork is received with incoming load

  • Dock purchase orders and ensure on time delivery

  • Coordinate other regional Planners to ensure overall Region RM inventory is adequate

  • Identify key opportunities to reduce raw materials DOH, increasing regional working capital

  • Work closely with members of regional planning department

  • Open communication with RM techs as well as Dock Office and Warehouse

  • Participate in Inventory Meetings and Traceability Exercises as needed

  • Actively manage all material holds and work closely with vendors to ensure quick resolutions

  • Support the NWNA Food Safety Management System by ensuring compliance with all FSMS-related procedures, policies, and obligations

  • Support production scheduling needs to cover vacations Production Planning:

  • Maintain a production schedule with a 2 week outlook which ensures safety stock levels are maintained

  • Meet all inventory finished good targets set by leadership

  • Maintain a Daily production attainment file and target 95% or above absolute attainment by line by day

  • Maintain sufficient DOH (days on hand) to meet our inventory targets but not have any OOS (out of Stock) situations

  • Maintain and host a weekly scheduling meeting with factory leadership to discuss: two week production outlook, attainment targets, upcoming promotions, and inventory DOH

  • Align and optimize line load capability

  • Exceed target of 90% direct ship

  • SLOB Management improve 10% from last year

  • Maintain finished good product master data including bill of materials

  • Align with Planning Resource to understand fundamentals of regional planning and train to become SME of Master Production Schedule process

  • Partner with Raw Material Planners to ensure one cohesive, best schedule is produced

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Engineering, or related field highly recommended

  • Prior experience within all areas of logistics: warehousing, transportation, raw material purchasing, production planning, and/or production operations is highly desired

  • Experienced analysis capabilities utilizing Excel and/or Access is required

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Experience with problem solving methodologies including; Lean manufacturing, DMAIC projects, and/or Six Sigma are highly desired

  • Experience with an ERP system such as SAP or Oracle is preferred

  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment

  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Effective decision-making and leadership skills in communicating with internal and external team members in production, quality assurance and transportation.

  • Team oriented with the ability to interact with many levels of individuals

  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement

  • Demonstrated behaviors consistent with our Aspirations and Beliefs

  • Must be able to successfully complete a post-offer pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
