Nestle Nutrition Maintenance Manager in Eau Claire, Wisconsin

POSITION SUMMARY:

Gerber Products Company dba Nestl Infant Nutrition is seeking a Maintenance Manager at our Eau Claire, WI Gateway facility. This position is accountable for providing maintenance services for the improvement of plant facilities and equipment. Guides the maintenance efforts and coordinates closely with engineering and operations on projects. Collaborates with Corporate on Nestle Maintenance standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES:

Provides leadership, development, and support primarily to the maintenance department under the guidance of the Nestle Management and Leadership Principles.

Maintenance Management:

Develops an environment that empowers employees to understand root cause of issues and to drive sustainable solutions that eliminate unplanned stoppages.

Conducts performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and on the floor observations to identify development and training needs. Provides the environment to ensure that all employees are sufficiently trained to perform their duties and continue career growth to meet the future growth needs of the department and Nestle

Partners with operations, engineering, and other internal/external resources to solve complex problems and drive efficiency in the factory's operation.

Actively develops and manages the maintenance budget. Provides approvals of needed maintenance and repair items. Provides oversight for maintenance-related contract services.

Team Leadership:

Provides the Maintenance leadership for the plant & maintains close working relationship with PM Pillar.

Provides both strategic and tactical leadership to the change management process to ensure the system maintains proper change management to meet regulatory requirements with methods that can be practically executed by the technical staff at a reasonable cost to Nestle.

Ensures that skilled personnel are available at all times to meet technical business requirements.

Provides leadership, direction, and coaching to members of Maintenance Staff as well as other staff members as required.

Safety and Environmental:

Follow factory safety & environmental objectives & targets

Follow the plant safety rules; report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately

Maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.

Understand the environmental aspects of the position and take action to reduce these environmental impacts by conserving paper, electricity, water etc. Will also recycle all appropriate materials.

Quality:

Follow factory food safety, quality objectives & targets

Follow Nestle Good Manufacturing Practices; report food safety and quality issues immediately.

Maintain compliance with regulations, and refers to Nestle Quality Management System on all related procedures and programs.

Understand the food safety and quality aspects of the position as indicated on QMS, OJT's and SOP's that apply.

Throughout all of these responsibilities, maintains a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

Required: Associate Degree in electromechanical or related field or equivalent work experience.

Preferred: Bachelor s degree in related field. Education in supervisory/ leadership capacity.

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 5+ years in a maintenance environment. 3+ years experience supervising others in a maintenance environment. Experience with engineering-related projects.

Preferred: Experience in a food or pharmaceutical plant, specifically with spray dryer operations. Experience managing in a unionized work environment.
