Nestle Ecommerce Marketing Associate in Arlington, Virginia

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Ecommerce Marketing Associate will be an integral member of the new Retail Transformation team within NUSA s Beverage Division. Reporting to the Ecommerce Marketing Manager, the Ecommerce Associate is responsible for developing and executing programs designed to help drive sales and overall share growth for NUSA Beverage Division brands within digital retail channels.

Channel/Account Acceleration

  • Collaborate with Ecommerce Marketing Manager to develop and support category-level strategies and programs to drive disproportionate growth at tier 1 and tier 2 ecommerce accounts

  • Plan and project manage to deliver account-specific search, media and merchandising strategies

  • Collaborate internally to develop and execute promotional plans to drive volume growth with key accounts

  • Leverage category and channel insights to make recommendations around optimal division assortment by account

  • Project manage the launch of new products online

  • Drive content and SEO strategy for online accounts, collaborating with internal Design COE resources or agency partners to ensure seamless execution

  • As needed, conduct audits to ensure optimal online presence across portfolio

  • Take advantage of test & learn opportunities with key accounts, scaling relevant wins across broader group of ecommerce retailers

Brand Planning/Management:

  • Partner with ecommerce Marketing Manager to develop annual plans aligned with driving division growth within the ecommerce channel and lead execution/project management of annual plans

  • Lead key eBusiness projects (e.g., enhanced brand presence on owned and retailer properties to increase online conversions/sales and guide/project manage appropriate internal resources on execution, and best practice integration assortment strategy)

  • Maximize growth opportunities by executing innovation pipeline initiatives specific to the ecommerce channel and supporting channel-optimized sku development (new packaging delivery, size, case count, etc.)

  • Collaborate across division to translate and optimize existing brand portfolios and value proposition on ecommerce platforms

  • Own cross-functional communication on any necessary changes to product catalog and assortment as portfolio evolves (expansion or discontinuation)

  • Maintain ongoing pulse on innovations in technology and consumer shopping behavior identifying brand new product, packaging or go-to market opportunities that could represent incremental growth for division; share insights broadly as appropriate

  • Manage day-to-day budget against programs and goals

Business Management and Analytics:

  • Create dashboards and deliver ongoing insights to optimize in-market programs and to support the development of annual business plans and strategic planning

  • Regularly evaluate category & market trends, tracking results and formulating recommendations to optimize business within channel

  • Analyze monthly shipment/consumption, competitive activity and category trends for e-commerce landscape

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to prepare Monthly Sales Review (MSR) materials

Best Practice Sharing:

  • Synthesize learnings and key results from executed programs across ecommerce retailers

  • Share out best practices in division and across NUSA

  • As needed, engage in reverse mentoring sessions for senior leaders on digital and ecommerce

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works independently with general supervision received from the Ecommerce Marketing Manager.

FINANCIAL/STRATEGIC IMPACT: The area of eBusiness represents substantial short and long-term growth potential for NUSA s Beverage Division. This position will play a key role in helping to plan and execute growth initiatives within this important channel. The position will be measured against achievement of corporate & division objectives on sales dollar and unit growth across portfolio of brands as well as how the candidate delivers against these objectives on a personal level.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

o Bachelors degree required.

o 4-6 years work experience in marketing, merchandising, digital advertising or consulting on digital programs.

o 2+ years previous experience executing digital marketing programs, preferably in an ecommerce environment or for a major transactional site.

EXPERIENCE:

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and/or the ability to quickly learn:

o Collaborating and building internal cross-functional relationships to influence action and drive programs into market.

o Planning and executing marketing programs with ecommerce retailers Amazon, Instacart, or grocery/mass retailers with a strong ecommerce presence.

o Understanding of digital ecosystems and experience guiding website/UX builds from strategy to execution.

o Strategic and tactical knowledge of SEO and running media campaigns.

o Understanding of online merchandising, marketing, email or other related digital activities.

o Experience with digital technologies, media, e-commerce, or subscription businesses.

o Translating sales/retailer requests into actionable programs to drive meaningful business results.

o Supporting the build of annual plans and managing budgets.

o Practical knowledge of digital environment, including media planning, targeting, reporting, and optimizing.

o Working in Consumer Packaged Goods Industry (CPG), Retail, Digital Agency or Start-Up.

o Experience working with Amazon and working knowledge of Vendor Central is ideal.
