Position Summary :

As a Nestle R&D Principal Engineer, train and coach other engineers & specialists in this area. Facilitate and lead the knowledge development and dissemination of processing technologies (focus on Aseptic) in liquid products. Provide technical assistance and expertise to markets and factories as per requests. Support other Ready to Drink (RTD) technology based projects for NHSc and be a key contact to address technology aspects of RTD product development.Committed to ensure an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations, in relation to product quality, people and environment safety, and change management

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities :

Innovation / Renovation pipe-line :

Drive innovation of new processes and system technology to enable differentiating aseptically produced and filled products

Lead the aseptic late differentiation technology development

Be a champion in developing the liquid technology roadmap for NHSc for the future.

Project Management :

Lead without supervision the development of technologies & processes and plan trials in accordance with the project brief.

Train and Coach junior members of the project team to improve efficiency and strengthen competencies.

Effectively communicate project status and results through written technical documentation and oral presentations.

Technical Assistance:

Be recognized as a technical expert, supporting Markets, factories, PTC's, R&D's and other depts.

Can call on for technical assistance.

Make recommendations for process improvements to the relevant stakeholders.

On an exceptional base lead / participate in teams to carry out technical due diligence evaluations of suppliers and technical line validations of Nestle or co-manufacturing factories worldwide.

People and Know-how:

Expert understanding of Scientific, Technology, Quality and Safety knowledge.

Develop related tools and competencies in the domain of activity.

Actively support knowledge & competence transfer together with

TCU head, Product Development & Human Resource leads.

Provide coaching/guidance to Experts and Specialist as required.

Ensure Processes & Equipment developed and deployed in his/her area of Competence are safe for people, products and environment, in line with all corresponding local / Nestl regulations

Education and Experience Required

Degree/Diploma in an Engineering discipline or related field (Mechanical, E&A, Process, Industrial Engineering, or similar)

  • Min. 5 years of experience in the main domain of activity.

  • Solid product and process mastership including knowledge of materials and suppliers

  • Expert knowledge about processes and equipment

  • Ability to organize, communicate information related to projects

  • Ability to coach Associates, Sr specialists in area/s of expertise

  • Demonstrated capability to lead functionally and develop experts

  • Experience in incorporating safety in the process/equipment design

  • Experience in setting innovation strategy at business level

  • Has track record in Knowledge Management

  • Good working knowledge on MS Office applications

  • Project Management Experience in a Food Manufacturing facility

  • Experience in processing line commissioning and startup

  • Knowledge on the use of AutoCAD

  • Ability to lead within own field of expertise (ie: lead collaborative activities in broader project or in technical support; lead working groups and project teams)
