Position Summary:

The position s goal is to translate scientific and clinical / consumer insights into nutrition solutions for consumers and patients, with specific medical or unmet needs the successful outcomes of the role will be to support product innovation through the ownership of nutritional profile design, including Nutritional Foundation, and scientific substantiation of key product features. The position will responsible for managing small to medium Category 1 ideation projects within the Research & Development pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

-Evaluate scientific information from all available sources (new ingredients, literature) for the purpose of generation of concepts for innovation of new offerings for Consumer Care and/or Medical Nutrition Business Areas.

-Identify, engage and collaborate with internal and external experts to leverage the best science available.

-Prepare scientific substantiation of nutritional profile toward successful launch (e.g., fact books, health claim dossiers)

-Collaborate with patent attorney to support offensive and defensive patent activities of key competitors.

-Responsible to follow and uphold all Food Safety, Food Quality, Occupational Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures as pertains to role.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

-5-7 years demonstrated experience within business area

-Doctorate or equivalent in nutrition or other closely related fields (physiology, etc.)

Knowledge of:

Nutrition science

Clinical nutrition

Food science

Medical Science

Registered Dietitian (preferred)

Project Management

Nutritional needs of Growth and Development

General IP knowledge

Public Health and Clinical Nutrition Practice Guidelines
