Blow Mold Utilities interact with the leadership group, production team members, quality assurance, and other blow mold and maintenance technicians to improve and maximize plant output, efficiency, quality and safety. They participate as team members in a high volume, light manufacturing environment. Duties include operating and maximizing efficiency of Blow Mold equipment, as well as cleaning and preventative maintenance. Sound problem solving skills both in an individual and group setting are necessary as is good communication skills. Blow Mold Utilities must maintain, equipment and work area in an organized and clean manner to ensure safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Maintain the preform loading area and all duties associated with supply of raw materials to the Blow Molders in operation.
Perform daily checks on forklift and uphold safe fork lift habits
Manage the preform inventory, using FIFO
Follow all workplace safety rules and practices as outlined in the NWNA or Ozarka Policies
Track and record PET waste as well as controlling the dunnage
Perform quality control inspections for pre-forms by following the PGA standards
Keep all Blow Molders supplied with correct preforms and written documentation.
Develop and understand basic Blow Mold operations and procedures.
Adhere to all GMP guidelines and to housekeeping standards of all Blow Mold Operations.
Key qualifications include:
High school diploma or GED
Two or more years prior experience in production within manufacturing, ideally in the food or beverage industry or a clean manufacturing environment
Prior experience operating a forklift desired
Solid computer skills, including the use of Word, Excel, Outlook and enterprise management software (SAP)
Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively
Solid problem solving and decision making skills
Demonstrated sense of urgency and comfort working in a high speed production environment
Ability to move/lift 50lbs various times over a 12 hour shift, basic math and reading skills
Willingness to work holidays and weekends as we are a 24/7 business operating through most weekends and holidays
Ability to successfully complete an online skills assessment prior to onsite interview
Willingness and ability to work in a facility with minimal temperature control, exposed to local temperature variations (hold & cold)
