- Provides co-pilot financial oversight on all trade spending activities and profitability for one sales team in Nestle Professional USA plus one or more division-wide projects within Nestle Professional USA. Supports the sales leader and sales finance manager for the respective sales divisions by leveraging trade with generating demand activities to improve Organic Growth (OG), Real Internal growth (RIG), Marginal Contribution (MC), Consolidated Marginal Contribution (CMC) and Consolidated Operating Profit (COP1). They will make recommendations to the Sales Finance Manager for large-scale profit enhancement and process improvements. The Sales Finance Analyst will work with the Sales Finance Manager using critical decision-making in most day-to-day interactions to drive executional performance and functional alignment to the business objectives and goals.Collaborates and partners with respective commercial team members (sales, marketing) to drive analysis of business trends, division/broker market spending and profitability.Lead profitability discussions with peer group to share best practices and modeling techniques. Maximize investment to achieve trade targets aligned to sales goals and initiatives by communicating with business partners Prepare & Assess the profitability of all division new opportunities and renewalsFacilitate Ad-hoc analysis for improved financial performance. Supports the Customer P&L and Sales Division P&LCreating financial forecasts Partner with the Trade Support Team and Broker Administration compliance with Nestle Trade Policy and Procedures. Modeling of financial impact from possible customer acquisition decisions on top-line and bottom-line Review, format, distribute and automate reports (from all trade systems) as scheduled or needed.Provide support for unauthorized customer claims Keep sales team informed of financial performance and help guide the sales team with strategic decision-making to improve performance
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
4 year college degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics preferred.
3+ years of finance experience.
Working with and managing a P&L for growth in sales and profit
Knowledge of the Foodservice Industry preferred, (Broker/Distributor/Buying Group)
Proven track record with process and/or financial improvement
Intermediate level of financial reporting and comprehension to interpret results and driving factors
Technical skills (Advanced Microsoft Excel and Beginner Microsoft Access)
Moderate Degree of business and financial acumen
Possesses the ability to apply insight, has a strong service orientation, and uses proactive cooperation and has the ability thrive in a results focused atmosphere
Ability to influence decisions and drive decision-making in alignment with objectives through financial analysis
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
