As the Lead Consultant- Applications (SAS) you will be responsible for the administration of the local SAS Demand Forecasting solution used by our business. This position will also serve as a Business Analyst responsible for the support and enhancement of the interfaces to and from the forecasting solution. Nestle Purina is applying advanced and out of the box statistical models for demand forecasting and will soon serve as a proof of concept for Nestle to be deployed worldwide.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Application Administration

  • Coordinate activities to perform full installs and/or apply version upgrades/fix packs to SAS Demand Driven Planning and Optimization (DDPO)

  • Coordinate changes to the technical environment with other groups to apply needed updates to supporting infrastructure

  • Provide 24 X 7 oversight of the support of the technical architecture.

  • Work with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and to communicate project status, issues, and risks.

Process Improvement / Compliance

  • Ensure Nestl Compliance and IT governance methods, processes, and tools are followed.

  • Provide measures and ongoing metrics to foster continuous improvement to team members.

Business Analysis

  • Provide 24x7 support with Nestl Purina business leaders and Nestl GLOBE our new IS/IT division that supports the entire Nestl North American business.

  • Perform requirement gathering and gap analysis, recommend solutions, author functional specifications for developments, validate through testing, and drive those recommendations to solve business issues for SAS interfaces.

  • Coordinate resources for development work on SAS interfaces.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):

Education:

High School Diploma or GED is required

Bachelor s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent work experience is preferred

Experience:

3 or more years of application administration experience

Working knowledge of UNIX operations

Willing to provide 24x7 support

SAS DDPO, STAT, OR BASE SAS experience is preferred

Experience in demand planning is preferred

Working knowledge of Citrix is preferred
